LOVE LIKE JESUS

Love like Jesus or so they say
Right before they turn away

Christians cry they love the Lord
But I’m not sure where in their heart He’s stored

Some lie, they cheat and even steal
If they don’t get caught then it’s not real

But for those who bear the mark of shame
Jesus doesn’t love them just the same?

They speak of those that do get caught
As if their lives are all for naught

There is no hope where these are concerned
All their efforts must be spurned

Be careful friend that this isn’t you
Because Jesus could have shunned you too

A sin is a sin in the father’s eyes
An item stolen is the same as your lies

Ugly lips that speak no good
Often damage lives more than they should

How many times should we forgive?
Others should want Jesus by the way we live.

So think about something before you say
Something that causes one to turn away

Offer hope along with love
While teaching others of God above

Yes we pay for what we’ve done
But ALL can be forgive by the Holy One
